Fact vs. Opinion

Objectives:

  1. Use different types of verbs to complete/correct sentences.
  2. Identify facts and opinions used to support claim(s) in an informational article.
Essential Skill: 
  1. Students will be able to write arguments to support claims with clear reasons and relevant evidence.

  1. Correct verb usage errors in sentences on the Smartboard.
  2. Notes over fact and opinion.
  3. Read teacher provided article and identify three examples of facts and three examples of opinions.
